Already have your new year resolution in mind? I did. I want to climb Mount Kinabalu for the 4th time on January and have a successful family trip to KL on February. And not forgetting to upgrade my banknotes collection throughout the year.

Check Nikon Digital SLR Camera Shutter Count with Opanda IExif

I was wondering how to check my DSLR camera shutter count. So as usual in this technology world I googled and in about 5 minutes I already knew what is my camera's count.

If you are currently using a Nikon digital SLR camera, then you are in luck. A freeware called Opanda IExif can tell you how many shots that you have taken with your camera based on the shutter count attribute recorded on a photo’s EXIF information.

Steps to Check a Nikon Digital SLR Camera Shutter Count

1- Using your Nikon camera, take a picture in JPEG format. RAW formatted images won’t work with Opanda IExif.
2- Transfer that picture from your camera to your personal computer.
3- Download Opanda IExif. Double click the setup file to install it and click the Panda icon on the desktop to run it.
4- Select the “Open” menu icon. Choose the photo that you have taken before. Your picture will be shown on top left of the interface.

5- Select the “Summary” tab.
6- Scroll down until you reach the “MakerNote (Nikon)” section. Scroll down a little bit more until you find the “Total Number of Shutter Releases for Camera” attribute. A number will be shown next to this attribute. That my friend, is your Nikon Digital SLR shutter count.

Thinking of changing to Maxis Broadband

I am currently having problem surfing the internet because of the streamyx connection being down for the last 2 days. So, I tested a maxis broadband at my home and tested the speed:

The verdict: very good! much better than streamyx speed wise.
But since maxis is the only provider that give me 3G speed in my home area, It is in my thinking to change to maxis. But need to consider how to connect multiple pcs using this broadband.

More research to do.

Western Digital 500gb External Hardisk - akhirnya dapat dibeli

Saya memng mencari-cari external hardisk sejak tukar tahun 2011 haritu. Mula-mula mau guna duit bonus untuk beli tapi terhabis pula bayar saman trafik yang bulan 2 tu. Huhu. So since ada duit lebih sikit ni bulan saya decide untuk beli satu external hardisk untuk kegunaan peribadi seperti download movies, mp3 dan backup pendrive serta fail-fail yang penting dalam laptop.

Masa saya servay harga di karamunsing banyak jenama seperti Transcend, Adata, Buffolo, Acer, Kingmax dan apatah lagi yang lebih murah harganya. Ada yang 500gb harganya baru RM165. Memang sekarang harga external hardisk jauh lebih murah berbanding dengan 2-3 tahun lepas.

Tapi saya suka ni western digital. Dari dulu lagi hardisk WD ni memang terkenal dan tahan lasak. Tapi saya rasa tingu juga la penggunaan penjagaan pengguna external. Kalau asyik terjatuh dan terhantak di meja atau lantai sure apapun jenama rosak juga.

Hobi Menyimpan Duit-duit lama Malaysia

Semua orang ada hobi. Saya rasa lah. Ada orang minat bermain golf, ada orang minat bermain badminton. Ada orang ~~gila~~ minat memancing. Ada orang minat kumpul setem. Saya ada dengar pula orang minat pelihara kucing, anjing, iguana, ikan, burung, tekek, kura-kura dan ada juga suka pelihara ayam termasuklah ayam jantan dan juga ayam serama.

Kalau minat main nombor toto tu bukan dikira hobi la saya rasa sebab itu berjudi.

Dan ada orang mempunyai hobi atau minat yang lebih daripada satu. Jangan kamu silap. Ada hobi yang hampir percuma dan ada hobi yang memerlukan modal yang besar. Ada satu orang kawan saya tu minat badminton dan pancing. Reket badminton ada lebih dari 14 reket dan joran pancing pun ada lebih 14 batang. Kalau kira kos bagi orang yang tidak minat sudah tentu orang tu cakap membazir. Kamu kena ingat kalau suda minat apa- pun boleh jadi.

So hari ini saya mau kongsikan salah satu minat atau hobi saya. Tidak lain dan tidak bukan ialah Numismatik. Kalau dalam istilah biasa iaitu hobi menyimpan duit lama tidak kira lah duit syiling atau duit kertas.

Pre Numis
Kalau ditanya bila lagi mula menyimpan saya mungkin jawab dari zaman remaja lagi sebab dulu kalau jumpa duit lama rm1 dan rm5 mesti simpan di wallet. Sampai ke zaman Universiti masih lagi simpan duit lama rm1 dan rm5 kalau terjumpa. Kadang2 sanggup la berlapar kalau mau simpan tu duit rm5, kalau suda mau kebulur terpaksa la juga guna untuk bayar tapau nasi di sana warung nasi padang. Teringat lagi tauke jawa tu tanya " duit ni pasi bisa di pake lagi ka?" huhu aku baling jua pinggan di muka kau ni tauke.

Contoh- contoh duit yang di simpan pada zaman itu. Ini boleh dikira zaman pre-numis kerana masa tu belum lagi tau macamana proper mau simpan duit lama.

Masa tu cara simpan duit mestila kasih lipat taru sana dalam wallet. Ingatkan pada masa tu duit lama ni disebabkan duit lama keadaan duit tu tidak kisahlah suda berlipat dan kotor memang bernilai juga tu nanti sebab barang lama.

Ada juga duit RM10 dan RM20 lama yang pernah singgah di tangan tapi suda diguna sebab valuenya agak besar untuk seorang pelajar yang hidup di luar negeri(di johor pun kira luar negeri la tu) tanpa banyak bantuan. Huhuhu

Zaman Numis
Setelah terbaca blog dan juga terjumpa dan terkenal dengan beberapa penjual duit lama yang ada kedai di sana wisma merdeka maka terbelajar la pula mengenai macamana rupanya kalau mau betul2 menyimpan duit lama dengan cara yang betul. (semua ada imbuhan 'ter' so ndak sengaja la tu)

Pertama mesti tau macamana mau simpan duit lama tu. Kalau setem ada album setem, maka duit lama pun ada album duit. So, album ni kena la beli kalau koleksi suda ada. Bukan setakat nampak lebih cantik tapi ia mengelakkan duit rosak, terlipat, kotor dan tercicir kalau suda simpan dalam album

Contoh album duit

Perkara kedua ialah tahu nilai duit lama tersebut. Disebabkan duit lama ni sudah tentu mempunyai harga yang lebih tinggi daripada nilai muka yang tertulis oleh itu kenalah ada buku rujukan duit. Ini boleh dijadikan rujukan semasa membeli ataupun menjual duit lama, walaupun ia terpulang sama budi bicara.

Seterusnya ialah tahu grading duit. Duit yang seolah-olah belum pernah digunakan dan macam baru keluar dari bank negara tanpa melalui atm machine itulah yang mempunyai harga paling tinggi. Ini dipanggil condition UNC(Uncirculated). Kalau suda melalui ATM machine tapi masih nampak baru lagi itu mungkin boleh dikategorikan EF( Extremely Fine). Ada lagi grading yang seterusyna seperti VF, F dan poor.

Yang last sekali ia kena tau mana tempat mau beli atau cari duit lama ni. Sudah tentu duit lama ni mana lagi ada keluar dari bank negara(BNM). So sudah tentu duit ni bertukar tangan dari collector dan penjual mengikut harga masing-masing. Tempat yang biasa org beli ialah di kedai antik, kedai pengurup wang, ebay, lelong, mudah terpulang la kepada citarasa orang. Cuma kena hati-hati beli dari online sebab banyak kes tipu dan barang tiruan.

So, kalau kamu dapat duit di tangan setiap kali terima gaji atau dapat duit baki tengok-tengok la duit seperti di bawah:

Jangan menyesal bila tau duit tu berharga riban-riban nanti.

So cukuplah untuk cerita hobi menyimpan duit lama ni. Hobi ni memang agak mahal. Cuma kebaikannya ialah hobi ni simpan duit. Duit tu bertambah nilai hari demi hari. Kalau sesak boleh jual juga duit ni. Cuma banyak orang tidak paham hobi "beli duit lama dengan duit baru" ni. Tida pa la, kalau ada orang mau kutuk hobi ni dengan cakap bagus lagi benda lain yang berfaedah, bah kamu pigi la beli benda lain tu. Apa saya peduli. Sebab saya beli duit lama ni pun bukan pinjam duit kamu, so saya punya sukalah mau buat apa. Hahahahhaa

16 friends from Sabah strike RM48m sportstoto jackpot

KUALA LUMPUR: The biggest jackpot in Malaysian history was paid out to a group of 16 friends from Sabah earlier this week.
The Supreme Toto 6/58 jackpot of almost RM48 million was won by the group who had pooled their money and bet on a set of numbers which they had cast lots on, based on their favourite numbers.

Sixteen friends who decided during a karaoke night out to pool their money and bet on a set of numbers, are singing a happy tune they won close to RM48mil from the Supreme Toto 6/58 jackpot.

They played System 9 containing the numbers -- 2, 3, 8, 19, 23, 27, 28, 31 & 56 -- and six of these numbers -- 8, 19, 23, 28, 31, and 56 -- came out as the winning combination.

The numbers eventually won the snowball jackpot of Supreme Toto 6/58, which totalled RM47.84 million.
On top of that, because they had bet on System 9, they won an additional RM127,744, bringing the total winnings to RM47.97 million.

System 9 allows players to choose nine numbers from one to 58 and created 84 combinations of six numbers, which increased their chances.

The winners, between the ages of 30 and 50, had agreed to share their fortune among themselves in varying sums depending on their investments.

They found out about their winnings when one of them saw it in the Sports Toto website on Saturday, before contacting the rest of the group.

With this payout, and the Mega Toto 6/52 jackpot of RM17.7 million that was paid out 10 days earlier, Sports Toto had paid out a total of RM65.5 million in less than two weeks.

Komen saya- Entah la betul ka tida ada orang yang kena ni jackpot. Kalau di US orang yang kena jackpot ratus2 juta pun berani keluar national tv. Tapi kalau di sini kali bahaya trus nyawa dia kalau orang tau. Kalau betul, tahniah la. 47 juta bagi 16 orang dapatlah lebih kurang 3 juta satu orang, kalau tida cukup makan kasi derma la sama saya.

Cuti 5 hari rasanya macam sebulan

Lama suda tidak cuti, baru ni kali apply cuti. Sebenarnya apply dua hari - 20 & 21 April. So termasuk cuti public holiday Good Friday 22/4, Sabtu dan Ahad cuti semuanya ada la 5 hari untuk berehat di rumah dan membuat beberapa kerja yang lama suda mau dibuat cuma belum ada masa. Tolak cuti dua hari ni ada lagi baki 22 hari dalam ni tahun. Yang lain stok untuk ujung bulan 5, hari raya, birthday vanessa dan last sekali krismas day.

Kerja pertama ialah membersihkan halaman rumah dan menamatkan riwayat rumput-rumput@ lalang-lalang yang sedang hidup berharmoni aman sentosa di sekeliling rumah. Kalau ikutkan hati mau saja upah orang untuk potong atau meracun rumput ni, tapi disebabkan kekurangan duit maka perlulah dibuat sendiri. So berbekalkan dengan racun rumput yang dibeli dengan harga RM20 maka rumput-rumput tersebut akan dapat dihantar kembali ke pembuatnya. Cuma harap jangan hujan la. Kalau saya kaya saya simen juga ni halaman rumah supaya tidak tumbuh rumput lagi. Hahaha bikin panas.

Kerja kedua ialah sudah tentu berehat. Berehat pun kerja ka? Huhu. Badan ni walaupun baru berusia 32 tahun namun suda cepat penat berbanding dulu. Tapi bagi saya yang paling penting ialah kita semua kena rehatkan mental. Jan terlalu penat berfikir dan tension. Betulka tidak? Apa la guna cuti tu kalau tida gunakan. Mau apply cuti 20 hari nanti masa perayaan hujung tahun pun bukan lulus juga. So masa cuti begini la kena ringan-ringan kan fikiran, fikir masa depan, bangun lewat- tidur awal, tengok movie, tengok tv, format pc dan laptop, belajar ambil gambar dslr dengan D5000 cikai sia dan perkara-perkara yang sewaktu dengannya.

Kerja yang seterusnya ialah mau repair sikit kereta kelisa saya, sebab mau jual(ada iklan dalam mudah). Tida bagus juga kalau jual sama orang tapi banyak bunyi kedengaran masa pandu tu kereta. Maklumla suda berusia 8 tahun punya kereta, takkan masih macam baru kan? Lebih-lebih lagi mileage tinggi, kalau tidak silap suda 200k dia punya mileage. Kalau ikutkan hati macam sayang ba mau jual ni kereta tapi apakan daya perlukan duit cash sekarang ni. Simpan lama-lama pun bukan makin naik value dia. Kalau dapat jual RM23-25K pun kira puas hati suda. So kalau tiada apa-apa halangan mau hantar pigi workshop yang biasa dihantar di sana Papar, nda tau namanya tapi dekat tu hardware Ming Shin. Murah dan berpatutan dia charge harga.

Kerja yang seterusnya ialah mau update dulu ni blog-blog yang bersawang labah2. Kalau tidak diupdate itulah pasal teda income. Asyik menurun ja graf dalam excel sia. Entah bila mau naik macam dulu. Mau juga merasa pigi jalan2 sana genting sambil jumpa uncle lim. Well, harap-harap dapatla repair ni blogs macam dulu.

Ada lagi benda lain yang mau dibuat tapi tidak berapa penting. So nanti ja lain kali story.
Jam pun suda 9.42pm mau rehat tingu tv. Nanti pagi mau bangun jam 3 tingu tu chelsea main. Bukan peminat the blues(I am an anfield loyal supporter) pun tapi mau torres score hattrick dan harap arsenal juga menang supaya ada fight tu Man U.

31 bertukar jadi 32

Hari ini saya mau berblog dalam bahasa Sabahan pula, bukan ada beza pun..lagipun blog ni suda kana biar bersawang entah berapa lama suda ni. Kalau ada org baca bacalah kalau tida pun inda apa juga. Lagipun setiap hari pagi semasa kena jammed pigi kerja selalu dingar si OTHOE dalam siaran suria sabah.

So cerita hari ni ialah mengenai umur. Tuan punya blog ni sudahpun menjangkau usia 32 tahun pada 16 haribulan yang lepas. Tiada jua party atau pigi jalan mana-mana pun. Sudah jadi kebiasaan sambut dengan kek biasa bersama anak dan bini di rumah. Dulu kecil-kecil pun tiada sambutan, so suda tua-tua ni pun teda feel. Kalau beliau dulu cakap mesti ada makan mee hun goreng supaya tu umur pun panjang macam tu mee.. mangkali ni kepercayaan orang cina la kali.

Bercakap pasal umur suda 32 ni, teringat pula pasal harapan tuan punya blog ni yang menyimpan beberapa azam. Salah satunya ialah mau beli kereta baru sebab kereta lama suda tidak muat kalau beli barang banyak di Giant atau Servay. So azam ni sudah tercapai sebab 28hb Februari tu hari suda ada kasi keluar kereta Proton Saga FL. Bukan beli cash pun, masih bank punya. Bayar first installment pun belum, Bulan lima baru mula bayar. Itupun sebab ada kawan di Proton dan Bank yang boleh kasi deposit rendah, tanpa penjamin dan interest rendah. Sedangkan kereta kelisa lama tu masih ada loan. Maybe itulah kebaikan ada bekas student yang kerja di merata tempat, boleh jua menolong dalam kes-kes macam ni. Thank you thank you la kio.

Kira puas hati jualah walaupun kereta ni kira murah juga banding myvi, vios dan persona. Kira mau beli avanza bah tu hari tapi tida mampu walaupun suda dealer toyota tu tekan kalkulator banyak kali. Siap tu dealer kasi kira untuk yg 1.3 punya avanza tapi nda juga lepas tu gaji. So biarla, kalau ada rezeki lain hari merasa juga tu toyota. Yang penting saiz bonet jauh lebih besar dan selesa la pemanduannya. Cuma minyak memang lebih kuat makan, maklumlah saiz enjin dan berat kereta lebih besar.

Azam kedua tuan punya blog ni sebenarnya mau ada rumah ba juga di kk, tapi ini masih dalam proses sebab taulah harga rumah sekarang ni melambung tinggi. Kalau mau cari rumah 'atas tanah' dengan budget bawah 200k tu mimang org bilang 'can kiss your dream goodbye la' kalau ada pun mcm di area Kuala menggatal yg lebih kurang mcm di perumahan pengalat tu, rumah lama design lama. Tapi ini tidak apa sebab tuan blog ni ada rumah dan tanah sendiri, apa-apa jadi pun ada jua rumah sendiri di papar walaupun buruk siling bucur nda jua menumpang menyewa rumah orang lain. Apa tu orang bilang 'home sweet home'. Cuma jauhlah pergi kerja papar-kk setiap hari, kadang2 menyumpah juga sia tu jammed jalan di putatan petagas. Entah bila mau siap tu jambatan petagas, silaka betul bukan main lama durang mau kasi siap. Tambah lagi masuk kerja skrg jam 8, huhu mau tau ja bertolak awal pagi jam berapa.

Azam ketiga tuan punya blog semasa umur 32 ni adalah kalau dapat mau menyihatkan badan, sekarang ni bukan lah tidak sihat..hmm nda tau la sebab nda pigi medical check up(nanti mau juga tu pigi tapi tunggu masa sesuai) tapi macam rasanya suda tidak berapa fit sejak tidak main futsal. Dulu main futsal satu minggu 2-3 kali. Yalah, main bowling 5- 6 game pun bukan boleh kasi kurang tu lemak. Nasib juga ada main ping pong 1-2 kali seminggu. Kalau ada member heran napa berpeluh lebih tu inilah reasonnya, bersukan mesti mau berpeluh, kalau tida berpeluh tu berehat-rehat namanya.

Azam keempat tuan punya blog ni sebenarnya kalau dapat mau mengembalikan sedikit zaman kegemilangan hasil pendapatan daripada blog di internet. Kalau dapat separuh macam yang duluuu dapat pun ok la. Azam ni seterusnya menjurus kepada azam kelima iaitu mau tambah duit simpanan cash. Mana la tau kan kalau ada emergency atau mau guna duit ada juga yang boleh dikorek nda payah la mau meminjam atau guna kad kredit. Tapi memang susah juga mau buat walaupun tida mustahil. Cuma mau fokus sikit dan ingat macamana suda buat dulu.

New Hobby - Ping Pong lol

In a bid to have some fun@get fit, there is a new hobby for me- ping pong! or some people call it table tennis.

I play this game after work and it is fun since I didn't play ping pong at all during my primary and secondary school years.

At first a friend and I bought a ping pong bat price RM12.90 which includes 2 bats and 3 free balls. Now after playing about a month, that bat is history and replace by a RM45 Butterfly bat. Huhu I should have bought this at first. It is waaaay better.

I went to DBP last Saturday to see what is in offer in their stock clearance sale. It is situated near Kingfisher and KYS.

Of course the 95% discount only for books from 2002 and below buy you can find plenty of books that is good regardless of the printed year. You can see that I bought some story books for only 20 cents each.

Most of the big hardcover books are bought for Vanessa to learn about vehicles and animals pictures.

I find these pictures making me feel that life is so valuable to waste it. I don't care if you are on the conspiracy side, terrorist side or anything. The fact remains that thousands of innocent lives are lost on that day September 11, 2001 - 9 years ago. I still can't imagine the fear of all the passengers in the 4 hijacked plane knowing that they are going to use as bombing missiles.

Car Service No.2 2010

I almost forgot that My last car service is way back in March 2010. That is almost 5 months ago. So I decided to get it done last Saturday near Servay Likas. The wife and ogoi went shopping at Servay while I wait for the car at the workshop.

Since this is the middle of the month, I decided to use a much cheaper motor oil than normal. The tyres also need alignment and one of the brake light need replacing (thanks cikgu Harun for calling me to tell me that one of my brake light isn't lighting up while tailing me. RM132 is the final cost, quite cheap I guess.

Maybe the next time my car needs servicing is before Christmas 2010, that is 4 months from now.

And that is another story. Cheers.

Nowadays it is hard to find you or one of your friends getting married in their early 20s. Some say getting hitched early is something that they did not even think of because they still want to enjoy the good thing in life being a single person.

But some say they wanted to get marry early but haven't found the right person. True enough, to find love is a complicated thing, it is not like you can find your match easily.

Some factors why more are getting married later or not at all:

1. Career Minded - Getting a job, a high paying job. Getting a bach degree, masters or phd. That is highest priority. Marriage is never in the plan early.
2. Difficult to find the Mr/Mrs Right - This is something that I think everyone will agree.
3. High cost of marriage - I got a guy friend that was asked RM25K for a "hantaran" no discount and pay by the male only. That is excluding other expenses e.g food, photo, hall, decorations, transport, etc. I even heard RM30K++ is beginning to be a normal dowry if the bride is educated, work in govt. , pretty. Wow.
4. Family burden-people who got more of a responsibility to take care of their family financially is more likely to get married later or maybe not at all.
5. Simple- They don't want to get marry in their life. Never in their dream, and will never be.

Enough said, back to watching tv.

Kelisa Overheating and Aircond problem

The problem: First symptom is the car aircond is not that cool whenever my car is idling or running slow. The heat gauge will also move up nearing the 'H' point. But whenever the car is speeding the aircond will blow cool and the temperature drop down to middle point.

The guess: First of all thing that may be broken I thought it must have to do with the radiator or the fan that is the part of a car that is supposedly to cool the engine.

The profesional verdict: The radiator fan is broken and need replacing. It cost RM175 for a denso motor or RM120 for a cheaper version. At least it is not got to do with computer box or any other more expensive parts of the car.

The action: I choose to replace it with the original denso because the last one last 7 years before it is broken and if the new one can last that long it will make me happy already.

I don't know about you all but I have pets at home, and when one of them got an accident it make us very sad. Remember I blog about them earlier -At last new puppies to partner "Brown the lazy dog". It was exactly 3 months ago yesterday. And they have grown bigger thanks to Alpo the dog food.

One of our dog named stokin got hit by a car when wondering around outside the house area at night. He was supposed to be caged but we let him run freely because everyone need a free runaround once a time right?

While I was watching Lee Chong Wei playing Kenichi Potato Tago, I heard a "BAMP!!" outside. And I immediately know that of our puppy is hit! I managed to salvage stokin from the roadside and had to carry him because he was unable to walk.

The diagnosis: Broken both rear leg with bruises under the stomach area. Maybe got hit by the car's tyre. So sad. It is badly swollen now.

Luckily only one of our puppy was hit. One survived. It is so sad seeing the dog trying to move from the accident area by crawling using only the front leg while the rear is clearly seen broken.

So we decided to bring the dog to the veterinary clinic today, the doctor did not do any operation but only give 2 jabs of some medicine to heal the leg. Hopefully he can walk again in no time. The vet doc ask us to bring him for 3 days straight, so we need to send him first thing in the morning 8am and then m ake a dash to work. Surely will arrive late in the office for sure. But what to do. One have to do what one have to do.

Blacky not so satisfied he is being chained while his brother is being cared to in the house

So moral of the story? Buy a dog collar and chain your dog whenever your are not around them. The picture above is Blacky sporting his new attire. He tried to bite it off but to no avail.

KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 — By now it is no surprise that the rich around the world are getting poorer. Malaysia is no exception: Its 40 wealthiest are worth US$36 billion (RM126 billion), down from US$46 billion a year ago. That loss is largely in line with the 21 per cent drop in the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index and not too bad considering the fact that the ringgit has lost 10 per cent against the US dollar, the currency in which net worths are measured.

Malaysia's billionaires continue to dominate. The country's two richest people, Robert Kuok and Ananda Krishnan, both again No. 1 and No. 2, are worth a combined US$16 billion and account for 44 per cent of the top 40's wealth. They are also the two richest people in Southeast Asia. The country's nine billionaires are worth US$30 billion, or 84 per cent of the total, the biggest wealth disparity among any of Forbes Asia's other rich lists. Vincent Tan is the only Malaysian to have dropped out of the billionaire ranks in the past 12 months as share prices in his companies declined.

There are signs of recovery. The nation's stock market index has been climbing in the past two months. Kuok's fortune is up US$2 billion since March, when he appeared on the world's billionaires list. Five other billionaires have posted a combined US$800 million in gains since then. Kua Sian Kooi grabbed the last spot on the list as a result of a big rally in his insurance firm Kurnia Asia's stock, up 50 per cent since the start of April.

Three newcomers debut, thanks to the discovery of better or new information. They include software executive Goh Peng Ooi, IOI board member Chan Fong Ann and gaming tycoon Chen Lip Keong, who operates a casino in Cambodia and a tourism business in Malaysia.

Four people have returned to the ranks after an absence of a year or more. Among them are Syed Mohd Yusof Syed Nasir and Tan Teong Hean, who cashed out of Southern Bank several years ago and are now making new investments.

Among those who dropped off the list are several tycoons who barely missed the cut, including CIMB Bank's Nazir Razak and OSK finance group's Ong Leong Huat. Malaysian citizen Ong Beng Seng, who has lived in Singapore for decades, is wealthy enough to qualify but stands to be listed among that nation's 40 richest in September, largely due to the fact that he and his wife, Christina, who is a citizen of Singapore, share a number of holdings.

Runs Maxis Communications, Malaysia's largest cell phone service provider, with more than 10 million subscribers; took it private in June 2007 in US$12 billion deal, then sold 25 per cent to Saudi Telecom the same month. Last year sold Excel, the exhibition venue in London's Docklands, for reported US$230 million and bought 20 per cent stake in British regional newspaper chain Johnston Press, luckily a small holding, as stock has dropped more than 80 per cent since as it struggles with debt. Modern art collector, has homes in Kuala Lumpur, London and south of France; has a son who is a monk living in the forest.

3 Lee Shin Cheng US$3.2 billion palm oil 70. Married, 6 children

Former plantation field supervisor heads IOI Group, one of world's leading operators of palm oil plantations, refineries. Took its IOI Properties private in April. IOI's stock has doubled since November but still down a third since last year amid falling commodity prices.

4 Lee Kim Hua US$2.5 billion gaming 80. Widowed, 6 children

Widow of Lim Goh Tong, who transformed a jungle on outskirts of Kuala Lumpur into one of world's most successful casino resorts. Genting Group now run by her son Lim Kok Thay (No. 14) but inheritance held in trust to benefit Lee, her children and grandchildren.

5 Teh Hong Piow US$2.4 billion banking 79. Married, 4 children

Former bank clerk opened first bank in 1966. Now his Public Bank has 14,000 employees; branches throughout Malaysia, also in Cambodia, Laos, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, China. Set up Public Islamic Bank as a subsidiary in November 2008. Donates to medical institutions and to the Malaysian Nature Society to fund planting of trees.

6 Quek Leng Chan US$2.3 billion diversified 68. Married, 3 children

Heads conglomerate Hong Leong GroupMalaysia, with interests in finance, entertainment, real estate. Bought 5 per cent stake in Mokhzani Mahathir's (No. 16) Kencana Petroleum and 3 per cent in Intercontinental Hotels Group last year. Family's GuocoLand is planning retail, residential, office projects in China. Inherited business from his father, one of 3 brothers to start a banking group in 1920s.

7 Yeoh Tiong Lay US$1.8 billion diversified 79. Married, 7 children

Founded YTL Corp, one of Malaysia's largest conglomerates, run by son Francis.

8 Syed Mokhtar Al Bukhary US$1.1 billion diversified 57. Married, 5 children

Former rice trader controls Malaysia Mining Corp. (MMC); has stakes in Malaysia's Johor Port, independent power producer Malakoff, natural gas distributor Gas Malaysia. Inking projects in Saudi Arabia, Jordan. Lost billionaire status earlier this year but back up top thanks to rebound of MMC stock. His Albukhary Foundation offers scholarships to students from poor countries to pursue college education in Malaysia.

9 Tiong Hiew King US$1 billion timber 74. Married, 4 children

Dubbed by some as Asia's Rupert Murdoch — his Chinese Media International has 5 newspapers, 30 magazines in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan, North America. His Rimbunan Hijau, which means "forever green," has palm oil, timber assets. Big player in New Zealand, where he owns timber, property and fish farming companies; also in Papua New Guinea, where he has an English-language newspaper, hypermarkets and controversial logging operations.

10 Vincent Tan US$750 million diversified 57. Married, 11 children

Has run Berjaya, which means "success" in Malay, since 1984; interests in hotels, lotteries, real estate, finance. Operates 7-Eleven, Wendy's, Starbucks, Borders in Malaysia. Opened first Krispy Kreme store there in April. Also operates water and sewage treatment and sanitary landfills in Malaysia, Indonesia and China. Selling stake in moneylosing US eatery Roadhouse Grill; setting up a school in China.

Longtime banking executive has been executive chairman of Amcorp since 1993. Malaysian financial services group. Opened Brunei operations in May. Chairman of the Malaysian Investment Banking Association. Loves scuba diving, painting and fast cars. A singer, has also recorded numerous albums.

12 William H.J. Cheng US$390 million retail 66. Married, 3 children

Runs the Lion Group, which has interests in plantations, steel, property. Though nicknamed "Steel King," biggest source of wealth is his indirect stake in Chinese retailer Parkson Retail, which he chairs. Also known as Cheng Heng Jem.

Former tobacco and advertising executive cofounded, heads Westports Malaysia, one of nation's biggest ports. Private company valuation up because of better information from outside analysts; expects volume to contract for first time since it started as a container business in 1996. Runs KNM Group, which provides services and equipment to oil and gas industry; stock dropped by more than half in past year. In September announced joint venture with France's Prosernat to form KPN Gas Technology. Fortune includes shares belonging to wife, Gan Siew Liat, head of human resources.

23 Jeffrey Cheah US$185 million real estate 64. Married, 3 children

Late father invented process to devulcanise used tyres so they can be recycled. Vinod has been working to commercialise it. Timberland is first footwear manufacturer to incorporate Green Rubber, to be used in two of the company's fall 2009 collections. Reportedly being tested by several tyre companies. My Kelisa problem 08.02.2010

I have been hearing noise coming from the rear of the car since late saturday morning but I couldn't tell where the sound is coming from.

So I decided to take a closer look yesterday morning and to my horror I found out that the exhaust pipe coming out from the muffler is broken. It is left hanging only by the mounting without connecting to the muffler at all. Not only that it is broken but almost the whole length of the pipe is badly damage due to corrosion or metal fatigue or some other reason that I just don't know.

So I decided to take it to a workshop and get it fixed. This is my conversation when I arrived at the workshop:

Me: Bos boleh tolong tengok ka camna mau repair ni pipe eksos suda patah? (Sambil tunjuk di bawah kereta dekat eksos)

Mekanik: Ooo nda payah tingu pun tau suda tu patah mana, biasalah ni kereta kelisa memang sana la masalah dia tu.

Me: Oh ya ka? Banyak suda ka kereta macam saya ni masalah gini?

Mekanik: Ya ba. Jap saya panggil tu chif mekanik exhaust. Oi Opppuuu mari sini kau tingu ni keta.

True to the name, the person they are calling chief specialist in exhaust repairing is a timorese.

He gave it a look and ask whether I just want to change the piping or put on a sport exhaust. Since I am in the mood of trying something different, I opt to put a sport exhaust tip with direct piping without the muffler.

Waited for around 1 hour and the job is done. Cost = RM250

I tried googling for the so called "banyak suda masalah ni kelisa punya exhaust" thing in the internet and true I got some similar stories:

Just one more problem: The car is more noisier now! At first testing at the workshop it sounded not too loud but when reach home I realized it is much louder than first thought.

Maybe need to put silencer or change exhaust tip or something. Later will find out how to decrease the noise a bit.

Family Holiday 27 -31 January 2010

Day 1 - Arrived at LCCT at around 12.20 noon, took Skybus to Sentral reach there at 1.40pm, buy Genting Bus Ticket scheduled for 3pm. Eat some dunkin donuts while waiting for 3pm. Reach Genting at around 4.30 pm. Checked in and have some rest in the room. Tapau McD and KCF as dinner meal in our hotel room.

Eating out is a non issue because it is so cold here in Genting.

Lesson Learned - It is very hard to bring along a 2 year old child with you on this kind of trip. Because I end up carrying all the luggage while the wife taking care of the child.

Went to the Casino at 10pm. Won a meager RM900.

Day 2 - Woke up a bit late for the free breakfast buffet. We reached the cafe at around 930am so the food is already almost finish.

Went to the Casino at 1pm. Better luck this time, won RM1000. But at one time losing all my money that is around RM1700. Phew lucky!

Lesson learned: Know how to stop gambling when luck is not on your side. Take a break and enjoy the scenery.

We bought the all in one indoor package for rides in the theme park. Got 30% discount for being a world card member. Nice! But Vanessa can only play 3-4 rides that is suitable for her age. So we decided to just walk around the other rides and take pictures.

Day 3 - Time to pack because we already bought ticket for 12.30 noon bus and we cant missed the skycar cable schedule or we will miss the bust all together.

Had breakfast at 830am, gosh so many people during this early time.

Went for last Casino time before leaving, won RM600 and went back to the hotel room to help pack our things.

Managed to catch the bus on time, but my back hurts so much from carrying all the luggage around genting to reach the skycar station.

Checked in at Boulevard Hotel at 2.30pm, took an hour rest and then it is time to SHOP! Wife bought a handbag, Vanessa some dress and me got to survey dslr items.

Vanessa run out of battery at 8pm so we have to go back to the hotel room.

Day 4 - Woke up early because today we are going back to KK already. Met up with Juliet at noon and have lunch together at food court Midvalley.

Bought DSLR accessories after negotiating a good deal in my opinion for battery grip, flash and a battery.

Took KTM Komuter to KL sentral because it is the most cheaper and then SKybus to LCCT. Bad news! Flight delayed. So we only reach KK at 9.30pm.

It is a good breakaway although we did not got to go many other places since traveling with a 2 year old kid is just so hard.

I entered an online competition as usual when the BPL season 09/10 got underway a few months back - ESPN STAR Tiger Challenge

Actually it is a free competition to guess the correct result for each weekly BPL matches. And as you can see on the above screenshot, I got the most correct number of tips on week 4 with only 1 incorrect tips given. This is not easy you know, taking into consideration the nature of football in BPL(and of course you will not know which Liverpool side will turn up each match).

And what is the prize?

It was send directly from Singapore via nationwide courier and just arrive yesterday.

At first I thought I just won 6 cans of Tiger beer flown all the way from Singapore.

It sure feels good winning something..

I wonder what it is..

It's a mini fridge!

Hari Jumaat Hari raya haji, sabtu apply cuti annual, ahad mmg cuti. So 4 hari ja kerja ni minggu. At least ada masa rehat dan kasi bersih rumah yang mcm kongsi suda. Hehe. Kira-kira ada 10 hari lagi cuti sa, rasanya untuk musim krismas la tu kasi abis..cuti panjang ujung taun.

Tapi kalau mau best lagi ialah gaji sebelum cuti ni, kalau gaji hari isnin maka makan maggi ja la di rumah masa cuti. Kalau gaji awal buli la makan di luar..ataupun tapau kfc kalau mau senang. Sa betul2 harap gaji awal siki hari khamis ka, jumaat ka gitu.

Mengambil pedoman dari Cgu Nuai yang blog dalam bahasa Malaysia(bahasa sabah lagi ngam), saya pun mau try juga ni ari.

Bercakap pasal jemputan kahwin ni mmmg menjadi kelaziman kalau suda ujung2 tahun ni byk urg kahwin pasal cuti sekolah suda. So, ni hari pun sa ada jemputan kahwin yang dirasakan mesti pigi sebab org kampung bilang mau bayar balik dorang datang masa sa kahwin dulu. Gitula orang cakap.

Tapi yang nda bestnya ialah saya bukan cuti ni hari, maksudnya kerja jua walaupun hari Sabtu, jadi paling awal sa buli pigi tu org kahwin punya majlis ialah lebih kurang jam 2. Kalau abis suda makanan sa terpaksa la makan benda lain seperti ketam, labu, udang dan ikan:

Kalau di area papar ni game mesti ada ni kalau org kahwin ka, org mati ka, org birthday ka, yang penting ramai2. Mungkin kalau di penampang atau tempat lain masa org mati ja ada kali ni. Itupun kalah keluarga dia benarkan. Betul ka tu?

The good thing is that the speed is just like using Streamyx, I can't hardy tell the difference. If in KK area the speed is almost 1GBps, but of course in Papar it is only Edge/GPRS connection but it is still acceptable I guess better 4 times than normal dial up.

For RM100 free modem 1 year contract..rm88 per monthly fee.

I think that is a good deal.

Well, this is something that all car owners have to do once in a while - car service! Normally it is advised to service your car every 5000km or 3 months which ever come first but sometime I don't have the time or $$ to send my car for service. Luckily since we are still busy moving from the old workplace in Sembulan to Kuwasa + semester break, I managed to send my car for service last week.

For today's Big Match@Super Sunday, I hope Liverpool will at least draw with Man Utd. The worst scenario is Liv 0 - Man Utd 1 (Owen '90).

That will surely make all Liverpool fans feel the monday blues tomorrow.

A new cheap acer laptop for me!

After selling my old laptop and a few other electronic gadgets 2 weeks ago. I did managed to raise some cash to buy a new laptop.

First Try at buying Acer Laptop from Mudah.com.my
I called and sms a buyer that wanted to sell an acer 6920 with blu-ray disc player for RM2000. He agreed to meet me at KFC Karamunsing at around 6pm on that day. What happened? He did not show up and when I sms him at 7pm he said the laptop sold already! Darn you man! I hope you will get some itchy decease. haha You could have told me earlier.

Later that day the same laptop is already in the mudah ads for RM3000. sigh.

Went to OUM KK early in the morning to send some stuff and off we go to breakfast at Tg. Aru. Well, the meal is good but Vanessa can't seem to sit properly not even for 5 seconds. So we decided to go to Sunny Supermarket before going home to Papar.

The weather is cloudy but it was still humid inside the house. But it did not deter Vanessa to play around and make everyone feeling dizzy with her antics.

I got around MYR450 from google last month. After withdrawing it from CIMB - Western Union I then bring my wife and Vanessa to Seng Heng Putatan to search+buy an electric oven and Juic extractor.

I decided to buy a cheap Elba oven costing MYR228:

because I am sure we are not going to use it that much anyway.

I bought a Pensonic Juice Extractor worth MYR220. There are other model that is much cheaper but the feeding hole is too small for my liking. With this one, one can put an entire apple or orange without the need to cut it into smalller parts.

Thank you google for giving me money to buy these things.

Hopefully more will come.

Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead today after paramedics found him in a coma at his Bel-Air mansion, city and law enforcement sources told The Times.

Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda told The Times that paramedics responded to a 911 call from the home. When they arrived, Jackson was not breathing.

The paramedics performed CPR and took Jackson to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda said. Hundreds of reporters gathered at the hospital awaiting word on his condition. The sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said family members rushed to Jackson’s bedside, where he was in a deep coma.

When I was growing up, I remember watching the thriller clips, the moonwalk and of course the pepsi ads featuring Michael Jackson. I even tried to do the moonwalk with little success. I don't care about the plastic surgery, child molestation scandal or his dangling nose, all I want to say that he is a talented and successful entertainer during his days.

DIY at my home part 1

The main point of having an automatic washing machine is to make washing your laundry a breeze without having to worry about the water supply, spinning (dry) and other stuff. You basically only have to turn it on, put your dirty clothes in the washing machine and then run(start) it. After it is done then you hang the clothes for a while in the sun.

But one thing remain the problem for our family washing machine: the pipe that connect to the water supply will leak out and dirty the floor after every wash. See picture below for the problematic connection:

So during the last weekend I decided that enough is enough and try to solve the problems with all the tools that I had:

After 1 hour plus of trying some kind of connections, after some wet moments when the pipe leak more than before, I finally got the right and cheap solution using a rubber hose and some pipe glue:

Actually it might have taken me less time to fix it if not for some very young and spoilt girl interrupting my every move:

The older you get, the more money you need to support your family.

This year I am starting from scratch in my making money from the internet thingy. I used to earn RM4,000 a month serving google ads using blogspot back in Jan 2008-May 2008 but now I am only earning peanuts.

So this year as part as my birthday resolution, I have started a new website/blog using a .com domain. http://watchdragonballs.com/

Earning money through blogging is hard enough so the smart thing to do was to served video contents from youtube or any other site to the world.

The last time I used a blogspot; the problem arises when it was reported as a spam site and google deleted it for a while. Hopefully using own domain will solve this problem.

Building the site takes a lot of my time but since I normally sleep at 2 am in the morning during weekend and much later during weekends, finding time to build the site is not a problem.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

My friend Mell reached this milestone 12 days ago. We were classmate during secondary school and although we didn't keep in touch that much now, blogs represents the way of knowing what we are up to once in a while( although he update his blog much much more often than I do)

Well back to the post title story.

I am officially hitting the big "THREE O" today. 16th April. Makes me wonder what have I achieved 30 years in this planet.

For a starter, I am already a dad to my daughter Vanessa and of course a husband too.

Time sure flies and suddenly she all grown up from such a tiny one day old baby girl:

Life is sure different after starting your own family than being a single I guess.

Hmm, I still only own a perodua Kelisa(from 2003-6 years old already), although I have bought lucky draw for a Toyota Rush later drawing in Jun (so being an optimistic person as I am, I will win that too lol). Sooner or later we will be desperate to buy a bigger car since buying a 2-week groceries at sunny supermarket is filling the fish card to the brim.

I am still working at the same Private College from mid 2002(7 years ago with little increment ..sad) I guess if I am resigning from this company I will only go for my own business. But that dream is still a bit far from this year.

I nearly quit my job last year during this time March-April because of the earnings I got from internet ad publishing reaching RM4K a month. But I am glad I a didn't because I would have suffered now since the earnings has dropped to RM300 a month. Consistency is difficult in everything you do, ask Lee Chong Wei. Lol

1. I hate how PM in waiting Mr. Najib talks while delivering his speeches. More recently in the ongoing Umno General Assembly 2009. He doesn't sound humble enough but more to 'menyeloroh'. I think Dr. M and Anwar still has the best public speaking capabilities around.

2. If the word 'Allah' can't be used by non-muslims then can the word God or 'Tuhan' can only be used by Christians? I must admit that I have been thought to use the word Allah during Sunday schools and some of the prayers do have Allah in them. But whatever it is, if you don't pray then you are no better anyway.

3. Is taking personal loans the easy way out from debts? I have a personal loan from Sabah Credit and now Muamalat Bank is offering our company a better loan package. So, most of us in the company are going in droves to apply the loan. For me, I wish I will strike first price 4D with a RM50 bet in the near future. Hahaha

4. Is it only me or someone else realise that it is raining everyday now? Even floods are happening in March where as it is supposed to be drought season. The end is near.

5. They say we are in an economy crisis today. But when you go to any gambling facilities either legal or illegal, they numbers just amaze you. Aren't we suppose to save money right now? Piggy Coin bank anyone? Guess the rich are just going to be richer.

6. Liverpool are having a great 3 matches, scoring 13 goals past Real Madrid, Man Utd and Aston Villa. But I had a great feeling that either Gerrard or Torres will return with an injury during this international break. Or maybe both of them. But don't worry, Pepe Reina can deputise in attack. Trust me.

7. My daughter Vanessa can feed herself using a spoon already, now she is learning to drink from a glass already. I guess time sure flies when you already a Dad and the next time you knew it, she is already dating guys! Ouch.

I got an OLD RM100 notes from Post Office yesterday!

I finally got the time to renew my insurrance and road tax yesterday after driving with an expired one for a week. And of course the real intention is to get the fuel subsidy of course!

But to my surprise I got an old RM100 notes together with the new one from the post office! I did ask the man if the note is still valid and he said of course; "Duit juga bah itu.."

He also give me a not so old RM2 notes together with the RM100.

As if he know that I am a collector for old notes.

First Chinese Caligraphy at my home.

It was supposed to be framed but still didn't have the time to do it. But this is the first Chinese Caligraphy in my home, I got it from a guy named "Huang Poh Lo" or his real name N. Poolohgasingam(an Indian but a master in this Chinese field).

Here is a picture of the man himself:

I gave him RM15 for this 3 piece of art, although you can pay how much you want since he did not put any price for his work. But I guess RM15 is worth the painting he come up with.

Hopefully the feng shui will be good and dandy after putting this up. Haha.

That is a phrase that I have heard and learned before in school. But I never really understand and see for myself what that phrase means.

I must admit before this that I also think that taking care of our elderly is something that is out of the question since we also have our own family and daily jobs to attend to.

But after thinking clearly and see all the aspect of it, I came to realize that taking care of your elderly required more patience, money, sacrifice that I first thought of.

For me, I will do anything that I can and whatever things that will happen is up to God's will.

Is it just me or anyone else felt that the year 2009 is crawling? I mean it is only the 21st January? It felt like already months into this year!

Maybe with the happenings that had happen it makes me feel like the days are going by so slowly. Maybe I am getting old..or maybe my life is just too boring.

My Vanessa is already 14 months old yesterday(19th Jan), this 3rd Feb will be our 2nd year wedding anniversary, 17th Feb will be 19 years after dad left us, 16th April I will turn 30 years young, with so much landmark this year I would really need a good start to the year but..

Whatever it is, life must go on no matter what.

BTW, I hate wednesday.

New blog theme today

I noticed my last theme was loading quite slow so I decided to pick a new theme today. It took me around 1 hour to put everything in place and test it. Of course too much ads, widgets, pictures etc will make a page loads longer. So I deleted some widgets and put just the basics in.

After that, I tried Web Page Analyzer for loading and download test and got the result below:
WtF? 8 seconds loading time? Still a bit slow I guess. But this is the best I can find at the moment.

A new year, hopefully a new beginning of my life.

It is already 6th of January 2009 and I already felt as if it is months into year 2009 because of some happenings in my life.

I celebrate the new year eve at home with my wife and 1 year old daughter eating KFC and watching DVDs only, and it seems the best new year I have for years. With my daughter Vanessa going into year 2 of her life, I have been thinking a lot more about the near future e.g what happen when she will start schooling at 5? where will she be schooling whether in KK or in Papar, when is the right time to have another child with all the financial crisis that we are having now, should I be looking for another job since we are not getting our salary improved to a satisfactory level currently..and many more.

And on the night of January 5th, I found my elderly mum lying outside my house unable to walk due to a fall(what seems to be a light fall at first observation) and now she is in QEH with some bleeding in the brain and hopefully getting stable and better(still waiting for further results). I was told an operation is out of the question because of her age(80+ years old). The good news is that she still talking and recognizing most of us when we visit her. A good sign indeed.

This incident caused me to think more of what should I or any other siblings in the family to do to take care of my mum after she is permitted to go home later. I know my wife and me will not be able to take good care of her since we are only at home 7.30pm-7.30am everyday when we work in KK.

Will it require hiring a maid to take care of her?

Even if my wife becoming a full time housewife she will be very occupied taking care of Vanessa and will not be able to help my mum at home.

Can she live in my sister's house in KK for a longer period? Maybe. But I dunno they are all also very busy with their own work dealings and family.

Maybe being the youngest in my family and still living in the same house with my mum does leave me the extra burden of taking care of her. But I just don't know what to do. It is good enough that I did not leave home and live in a house nearby KK to make life much more easier in terms of transportation for me.

But I like living in a small town like Papar which is not as busy and stressful like in KK, and the parking are still free somemore! LOL.

Today is just 6th of January but there are a lots of thinking to do for me and my family.

And I will be reminding myself that "Life is all about making the right choices" every time a problem arising.

Life must and will go on no matter what.

I know the price of goods that went up when the government 'flipped' June this year will not be going down any time soon, but at least the fuel price will be 15 cents lower beginning today.

Since I am doing around 100km a day going back and to office, this is such a welcome move. I don't know how people in Venezuela is doing because their petrol is only 20cents a liter. Maybe everyone is filling up full tank everytime..zzz

I think the rainy season are here until December, the sea/river tide is also high since my house groundfloor here is going through it annual flooding season.

Are you suffering from work burnout?

I have been working for the same company for the last 7 years. I started in 2002 and now it is nearly 2009, so 7 years! I am starting to feel that I am just burnout from work. I can't really understand how someone can work at one place for all their life for example a civil servant or maybe a government clerk. Working for the same company for 25 years? Wow how do you avoid or relief work burnout for that long period of time?

I am only 29 years old, and yes this is my first real job. 7 years for me is such a long time. Maybe someone will say that 7 years is still not that long enough to suffer burnout. Although the salary I am getting every month is not that much but my current work have some other benefits such as flexible lunch time.

But I heard we are moving to a new office in Sadong Jaya early next year, could this be the factor that relief the burnout I am feeling right now? A new place and a new environment could be good.

If we really move over there, then these pictures below will be our daily screenshots that we will see every day.

At least I will be near a postoffice. (easier to send post laju and ASB transactions)

And Maybank. (hopefully to save money not withdraw)

And a nearby Chinese shop although they charged RM2 for a Milo ice. (they served nice chicken rice there)

Our panel clinic is also nearby. (can buy vitamins & shampoo using medical chit..hehe)

Getting a car service is easy. (send service early morning and only take at 5pm-save parking for one day)

Not forgetting Chan furniture(good for you! OMG, I have a feeling I will be buying a sony home theatre soon..)

Maybe a change will do me good.

Beware of Internet LOVE Scam!

KUALA TERENGGANU: Blinded by love, two women and a man have lost a total of RM27,611 to online "friends" since August.
In the first case, a 29-year-old doctor from Jertih told police that she was cheated by a man who claimed to be London-based pilot whom she met online in August.

Weeks later, she received a call from the 32-year-old "boyfriend" going by the name of Lutz Koerner, telling her that he had mailed her a handbag and RM300,000 in cash.

On Sept 14, she received a call from a "courier company" in Kuala Lumpur informing her that her parcel from London had arrived, and that she had to pay RM4,700 to claim it.

She banked the amount into a stranger's account on the company's instructions.
State Commercial Crimes Department acting chief Deputy Superintendent Ab Rahim Ab Razak said the company called her again on Sept 16 for another RM14,000 and she gave the money without hesitation.

She only suspected something was wrong when she did not receive any parcel and at the same time, could not contact her "boyfriend".

The second victim, a 42-year-old housewife from Chendering, lost money after a "courier company" told her to pay RM3,460 in service charges and Customs tax for a parcel sent to her by her Internet "friend" named William Johnson from London.

She had been told by her friend that the parcel contained a laptop, a gold watch, a cellphone and RM27,000 in cash.

Two days after banking in the amount, the company called and asked for another RM5,295. When she told them that she had no more money, the company replied that they could not deliver the parcel.

Rahim said the woman became suspicious when her "friend" did not answer her calls. She lodged a report on Sept 28. The third victim is a self-employed 43-year-old father of two from Durian Burung here.

He lodged a report at the Cabang Tiga police station on Tuesday, saying he had lost RM5,451 after a "courier company" failed to send him a parcel from his Internet "girlfriend" in Britain. The parcel was supposed to contain a laptop and RM60,000 in cash.

Rahim also showed a snapshot that the man received through the Internet from his "girlfriend", known as Aisyah Mokhtar.

Rahim said the man had paid a first service charge of RM3,450.98 to the "courier company" based in Kota Kinabalu for the parcel on Sept 25. He received another call from the company on Oct 4 asking for a final payment of RM5,239, but he only deposited RM2,000 at a bank here. The company said he had to wait three weeks for delivery. He became suspicious when his lover did not answer his calls.

Gas station on strike@mogok for 5 days? -Hoax!

I don't know know whether this is true but everyone is talking about the Gas Station is going on strike starting today at 5pm for 5 days. So as usual, everyone is queuing up at the station to fill up just like what happen 2 weeks ago when the fuel price was announced. Petronas, Shell, Esso all packed now.

Last time I don't bother to fill up when the fuel when up and now I won't be bother also to fill up the fuel. It is not that I am rich but I don't think queuing for an hour at the station waiting for my turn will do anything good for my health. Lol.

So, I am getting sms from my friends and student right now telling that all roads to gas station is jammed to the limit! Lido jammed, Arkib jammed, Penampang jammed, everywhere jammed!.

For me, when my car got no more petrol tomorrow or the day after that- and the station are closed then it is simple: don't go to work! duduk rumah diam-diam tingu astro la apa boleh buat. When it open again then only can go to work. If the boss are not happy then go tell the government. Lol.

Hmm let see what time I reach home today because of the jam.

Pity to all of us.
